Take part in Native Plant Week
 
Texas Native Plant Week is this week (Oct. 25-31)!  Planting native trees, shrubs and flowers helps conserve water, improve water quality, provide habitat and KEEPS HOUSTON WILD!
 
Here are a few ways to participate in Native Plant Week:
  1. Plant a native tree in your yard or at your place of business.
  2. Plant a native garden for butterflies, hummingbirds and other wildlife.
  3. Volunteer at a Native Plant Week event!
  4. Attend native plant events, plant sales and educational presentations.
  5. Visit demonstration gardens in your area for ideas and inspiration.
